The name Sadaat Baba comes from a shrine to a saint of the same name in the village. The village was founded by siblings "Ahmad Khan" and "Rehmat Khan", members of the Badrashi tribe. Later, members of the Miangan tribe came to live in the village. Most of the inhabitants are from these two groups. Some relics of ancient times have been found in the eastern outskirts of the village.
